K’lee and Dale’s CosmicPhoto Challenge: Living in the Light

I’m taking this a different direction today. If we were NOT Living In The Light:

We would not be able to see light and shadows play over beautiful fallen leaves.

We would not be able to see the light making patterns and changing the colors of the water.

We would not be able to see shadows.

And we would not be able to see reflections.

And we would be so much the poorer for all that.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge: Living in the Light

While it is true that the broken branch is no longer living, it is its place in the pool of sunlight that caught my eye and made me stop. I am perpetually fascinated by how light changes an object. Had the sun caught the full branch and vegetation, it just would have be a broken branch lying in the sun. But the fact that the rest of the branch and ground cover were in shadow with the sun illuminating only the center, turned everything into a work of art.
