Color Your World: Black (and a little bittersweet)

Here is my contribution to Jennifer Tourmaline’s challenge Color Your World. This week her color is Black, but last week her color was Bittersweet. I didn’t find time to contribute last week, but Bittersweet is one of my favorite colors. So I found a photo that contained both. Enjoy!

 

Ahoy! Storm Clouds Ahead.

Batten down the hatches! Those clouds look as black as night. Our one hope is that there seems to be an eye of the storm.

Oh no! It’s worse than I thought. The Eye is watching us!!!

*My apologies to meteorologists. I know that this is not what an ‘eye of the storm’ looks like in a meteorological sense. But it fits with the seafaring analogy. And it looks remarkably like director Peter Jackson’s portrayal of the Eye of Sauron in The Lord of the Rings. And yes, I’m a huge fan. Read all the books in high school when they were quite newly published.
