The Different Perspectives of a Surprised Exuberant Squirrel

While I believe Becky has in mind using different apertures, focusing, and distance to show how one can achieve different perspectives in photography, I thought I would approach it from a lighter perspective for my first square of this month’s challenge. This friendly, exuberant, (and surprised) urban squirrel was observing me from four different perspectives!*

#1 Uh oh! Caught in the act!

#2 I’m really not so sure about this…..

#3 Maybe it’s safe…….. I’ll try it out.

#4 Oh, you seem to be friendly, and your dog does too, so…. TA-DA. Here I am in all my exuberance, complete with tail!

*I don’t normally do this, and I think it’s technically against the rules, but I got carried away and combined….. four challenges. My own exuberance got the better of me.

A Photo a Week Challenge: Work

My apologies. I am a day late posting for this challenge, but here is my take on “Work,” as observed from my 10th floor kitchen balcony.

I am grateful that someone is cleaning on this steep a roof.

I would not want to go down this dark a hole that needs air circulation in order to repair telephone lines.

And repairing roofs has never been my preference. Although since this roof is a flat one, I wouldn’t mind.

However I would absolutely LOVE working on this construction site. (Even in the rain.) I wish I was young enough and had the skills.

Hearts Meet Heavy Metal?

A bumper sticker on someone’s beloved (very) old Jeep. He parks and reads every afternoon on the street corner. The owner is white haired and has probably owned the Jeep for a very long time. Wouldn’t be surprised if he maintains the Jeep himself.

Bumper sticker in Oakland, California.
