Canada Geese Following Free Food
I believe I used these photos sometime last year, but I think they are perfect for today’s Word of the Day Challenge: together. And believe me, the geese were having a raucous discussion about it. No isolation here!
This Lake Is For the Birds
Literally. Lake Merritt, in Oakland, California, is actually a tidal lagoon and includes the oldest dedicated wildlife refuge in the United States, which was established in 1870! I am fortunate to live across the street from the Lake, which is why I take so many photographs of birds!

You can see a little bit of Lake Merritt to the left of the band stand in the photo below. And very faintly, if you look for it, you can see the “Green Monster” climbing structure, also to the left of the bandstand by the lake,
