It was the unusual way these flower’s petals curl that attracted me. 🙂 I’ve taken a lot of photos of these flowers as they have been blooming in order to experiment with aperture settings. And they are reliably in the shade, which means the lighting is consistent. The tricky part is that there is almost always a breeze. So I have to get the speed fast enough for movement, but I don’t always manage to get the center of the flower to be the thing in focus. These plants are right across the street from my building, so they afford me lots of practice. 😉
It is great to have a subject that is consistently “there” to practice on.
