Yes, cormorant eyes are quite remarkable. They are one of the oldest known species of birds and has ancestors that go back to the time of the dinosaurs. I’ve always suspected that the eye color is due to the fact that the species dates back millions of years.
Interesting birds, when they swim they look like seals.
