I love fishing birds in general and you caught this guy at some beautiful times, even though he might not have appreciated the wind.

Thank you, Janet. One of the reasons I love egrets is that they actually stand still long enough for me to get a good capture!
Herons do the same thing. They’re so patient, walking in super slow motion, until they go for a fish and then it’s just a blur.
Indeed. the first time I saw one go after a fish, I was utterly amazed at how fast they could move. There and back again so fast that I wondered if I had imagined it!!
