When you first look at a pelican, no matter how many you have seen, the first thing that you notice is their weird, uncanny beak. But equally impressive are their huge, powerful wings. (See the second photo above.) An adult American White Pelican weighs 14 lbs, but has a wing span of 9 Feet. They are one of the largest North American birds.

I don’t know how much editing you did but these look good.
Thank you David. I had to do some cropping, but the main editing was because the background was so dark. The effect that I was left with, as the best of the lot, is that the pelicans, esp the first shot, look like they were shot with artificial light in a studio, which was not exactly what I was after. 😆
