…………..but I find it irresistible.

Cormorants are funny creatures. And I find those green eyes to be truly startling! I am not aware of any other bird that has green eyes.

Many thanks for the link, Hannah. He’s adorable 🙂 But the hostess for Six Words is Debbie and this is her link https://travelwithintent.com/2019/10/19/i-rode-the-ancient-appian-way/ Sorry if that wasn’t clear. She’ll be happy to see you this morning.
Thanks Jo. I corrected the link. 🙂
Beautiful eyes!
That eye! Mesmerizing!
That’s my experience. It’s hard to look away. 😉
Amazing colour indeed!!
Until this shot, I had no idea their eyes were this color! 😯
Lovely shot Hannah. The contrast of the eye and surrounding yellow really accentuates both.
Thanks Su!
Wow! What a fascinating bird. Just as you’ve said, I’ve never seen green eyes like that on one before. Absolutely stunning colors ❤ Where do you typically see Cormorants?
Thank you for making me aware of them this early morning. Praying your day today is wonderful and that you are well.
Thank you so much, Holly. I live across the street from Lake Merritt, a natural salt water tidal lagoon in Oakland, California. Lake Merritt was the first designated wild life refuge in North America, designated as a refuge for migrating birds in 1869. We see many types of avian wild life, especially in the summer months.
