Outspread Wings

You can tell whether the egret is an immature or mature bird by looking at the feet. Adults have bright yellow/orangish feet.

    1. Thanks Su. The egret’s feathers are a little blurry because I had to crop down from a 200mm shot, but I was so pleased that I had finally captured a time when the fellow had his wings outspread. 😀

      1. I understand that. We are our harshest critics — which has the virtue I’d driving us to improve. Do remember to step back sometimes and allow yourself a pat on the back though. 😀

      2. Thanks! My husband was always my biggest cheerleader. I should try to hear his voice in my head. He would have been so proud of the photography work I am doing. I do think of that frequently. Now I need to try and remind myself of what he would say when I publish a photo. 🙂
