Spring Concert Music #2

After our concert last spring, I promised I would upload various choirs’ performances of the pieces that we performed. Here is our second piece of music on the program, O Praise the Lord of Heaven by William Billings (American, 1746 – 1800). It’s sound is easily recognizable as early American music, for anyone interested in that bit of trivia. This link gets you to a You Tube recording of a rehearsal of the group Vocalessence, rehearsing at University of Saint Mary the Virgin, Oxford, England.  Enjoy.

PS: I find it humorous to see how the choir is dressed. We perform in a stone, Norman-style church, and they don’t turn the heat on for our dress rehearsals. We, also, dress in super warm clothes during dress rehearsals in the winter!

I love getting comments....... so weigh in!
